The SystemOne day, the sky begins arranging everything: routes, encounters, even accidents. Humanity believes it has built a system—until the system makes a decision no one commanded.
The PowerThe sky no longer belongs to any nation. An invisible war unfolds between flight paths and code, and every permitted departure may be a declaration of power.
The HumanThe last human pilot receives a distress signal from forbidden airspace. No flight has ever been registered there. Yet someone has been waiting for him to land.
The Freedom — DayDay belongs to humans. Before sunset, everyone must leave the sky. Then a passenger aircraft misses its final landing window.
The Freedom — NightNight belongs to autonomous AI. While humans sleep, the sky follows another set of rules. One night, a system requests a delay to sunrise—and another, for the first time, refuses.

I am Eding Yi, a researcher, educator and writer working across aviation, finance, law, emerging technologies and public policy. I am a Research Fellow of the Aviation Working Group (AWG), an Academic Advisor and Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Hong Kong, and President of Nice Air Mobility.
My writing includes contributions to the World Economic Forum Agenda, Wolters Kluwer China and Monocle. My research spans autonomous-flight governance and the legal foundations of aviation finance.
